Helen and David (wedding w/ Jasmine Star!)

What a gorgeous day! Everything about it was just oh-so-beautiful! From the pretty pink roses & the delicate details on Helen's dress, to the dazzling sunlight pouring through the tops of the trees and perfectly lighting the ceremony... it was all just so gorgeous! And, of course, it was such an amazing privilege to be able to shoot this wedding with Jasmine Star! I had such a wonderful time. Thanks again for letting me be there, J*! (See a few of Jasmine's awesome photos of the day on her blog!) And thanks, Helen and David, for letting me help to capture the love you have for each other.

Beauty

I just wanted to share a quote I read recently from the book "Do You Think I'm Beautiful" by Angela Thomas. This book really struck a chord with my heart, and I wanted to share a portion of it here:

"Our thinking has been shaped by junior high taunting, unflattering words from people we love, magazines in waiting rooms, cosmetic counters at the mall, the big screen and the little screen and now the computer screen- all teaching us how to think as the world thinks. I mean, how can we not buy in? After twenty or thirty or forty years of watching and reading and listening, we’ve really believed this stuff. Essentially, we’ve been brainwashed.
